Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka!
Habitat’s mission is to create successful homeownership by partnering with hardworking families and the community to build simple and affordable homes. We are able to do this by utilizing hardworking volunteers like you, no matter the level of experience. Please choose a volunteer date below and sign up to join us!
To volunteer on the build site:
-Sign up for a build day from the list of available dates.
-Attend your build day: Please arrive by the mandatory 8:30 a.m. start time and be prepared to volunteer a full shift until 3:00 p.m. Feel free to bring your lunch and snacks. If you cannot arrive by 8:30 a.m., please cancel or reschedule your volunteer date.
-Wear closed-toed shoes and clothing you don’t mind getting dirty, painted, or ruined. Dress in layers appropriate for the weather and bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to stay protected from the sun. We will provide training, tools, water and safety equipment.
Cancel your build day if you will not be able to attend. That will allow another volunteer to fill your place, and our construction staff will be able to plan for the correct number of volunteers. If you are experiencing difficulty cancelling your build day, please contact our community outreach coordinator by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Age Restriction: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work on the construction site. Volunteers younger than 18 must have their parent sign a minor waiver form and are restricted in the duties they can perform.
Community Service: Due to our high volume of volunteers, we require community service volunteers to attend an orientation prior to volunteering. For questions, please contact Shaina Goldberg at email@example.com.
